Trafalgar screw you over? Kid thinks but doesn't ask. Pirate alliances aren't made to last, it seems.
Strawhat finally sits up. "Ugh," he grumbles. "Stupid Kaido."
"He kick your ass too?"
In lieu of answering, Strawhat's brow furrows deeper, wrinkling the gauze stretched tightly across it.
"Shit sucks." Kid readjusts his coat. The floor is exactly as comfy as one would expect solid rock to be. "Welcome to the losers' club."

Shachi is snickering, too, head tipped to the side against Penguin’s chest, hair still wet from a shower and half-hiding his face, and Penguin snorts into saying, “I mean, y'know, live fast, eat ass, all that shit.”
Law – who is kind of stoned, because thank fuck he's found a better coping mechanism in recent years than plotting suicide missions – snorts hard enough his face scrunches up at that comment, like it used to when they were kids and like he only started doing again recently. “Penguin, you've – you've literally only been bisexual for a month, don't start with that ‘live fast, eat ass’ bullshit if you can't cash that check.”
Penguin’s head tilts back, and Shachi snorts against his skin before he speaks. “Hey, hey, it's not bullshit, I totally would. I just haven't yet. Limited by experience and time, not willingness.” Which… is, hmm.
Shachi thinks on that for a second.
