She knows these things are wrong, so why must she stare at the queen's lips for so long? Why must her gaze linger to the way Rhaenyra’s cheekbones curve in a smile when she talks about the upcoming festival for her daughters’ second name-day? Why must Alicent study the way Rhaenyra strokes the small stone on the dish in front of her, knowing she's likely wishing for her second son's hand as much as Lucerys seeks hers?
She must be truly cursed.
