Summary
Ghost, medically retired for a few months now, walks into the town's shelter, following Price's words to do something with his life... like getting a dog.
Soap, a dog shifter, hated the human life his family had grown into, having him repress what he truly was at all times, and decided to live the rest of his life as a dog. He takes a one way plane ticket to England, content to wait in a shelter there until someone interesting shows up.

He blinks, trying to recognize the odd room. He whimpers, tears gathering in his eyes. He flinches when he hears footsteps closing in on him. He hesitantly looks up and sees ‘papa’ looming over him.“Hey there, son.” The man speaks with an oddly warm tone. “What’s such a tiny boy like yourself doing here? Hm?” Papa crosses his arms “You know little ones aren’t supposed to enter papa’s office.”
-General Herschel Shepherd sees his soldiers as assets. Pawns in the game of chess. Some Pawns, such as Ghost are shinier than most. But Ghost isn't like most pawns, he's unpredictable, unstable and always has a plan to stab Shepherd in the back...literally. Luckily for Shepherd, he has a little trick up his sleeve. One that comes from Simon's past.

Summary
Typically, Soap had a good handle on himself. He had a good work-life balance— as decent as one could have in the SAS— and he stayed as social as time allowed. He was the bright, cheery, friendly member of the 141, and he was fine.
Except, recently, nothing seemed to be going well for him.
