Summary
An AU where monster species had their own countries before the war, and Sans and Papyrus have an older sister, Serenade. She becomes the youngest monster to join the royal gaurd, and when Asriel crosses the barrier after Chara's death, the Captain of the Royal Gaurd takes the Gold Battalion to cross the barrier and retrieve him while the barrier is still weak from Asriel's crossing.
Each chapter switches perspectives, first from Serenade's, the Sans', then Papyrus'. It follows the siblings growing up apart, and how they cope.
