Summary
Basically, June and Dirk are having a bet to see who can ask out their crush better on Christmas. They have to subtly flirt with Quint and Jack—except Jack won’t actively acknowledge June’s flirting, so she has to toe the line perfectly: make him wonder whether she’s serious or just playing around, without pushing him to actually respond.
Meanwhile, they’ve made another bet with the monsters: if the main four can get the monsters to enjoy Thanksgiving, the monsters have to wear embarrassing outfits—crop tops, skirts, mini skirts, and thongs. Jack, however, is participating as a “monster in training,” so he won’t wear the thongs or the other ridiculous outfits. Instead, he’ll be stuck in a quince dress, because he’s a minor and can’t participate in the other outfits. Unsurprisingly, Jack isn’t happy about being labeled a “monster in training” or about the quince dress, a detail he’ll learn later.

Y’all can find out when you read, but I am gonna add some jokes that are kinda inappropriate (NOT TOWARDS THE CHILDREN)—just some goofy ones (your mom jokes or stuff kids their age would actually make).
I tried to make it as accurate to the characters as I could. And there’s tons of references in this mostly music ones. I’ll put the songs that inspired the chapters for who ever wants to listen to them. I would recommend to make better sense of the chapters. -
