The self-harm started when Mike Wheeler was just 12 years old. Experiencing grief he shouldn't have had to carry at his age. Scratching till the skin on his leg or arm is raw, bleeding, and stinging. The pain in his body would stop the pain he was feeling on the inside. It only got worse from there.
Years later, while lying in bed with Will, Will sees them.
