Nakahara Chuuya wakes up alone.
At first, this doesn’t bother him, and he snuggles into his messy but warm sheets, shoving his cheek into his pillow.
But as his nose brushes against his pillow, he catches a soft scent, something faint but familiar.
He jolts up, sleep all but a leaf lost to the wind, and looks around his bedroom. He’s completely alone.

Though Denki’s eyes grew foggy, he fought through the urge screaming at him to bare his neck, “you’d listen to the others if they said we need to stay home.” The little one refused to give in, even as he snuffled, button nose starting to get runny. “The alphas, the betas, hell they’d even listen to you if you told them. But because it’s me, the baby,” he spat the word, even as he winced at his own statement. Like it hurt him too. “no one has to listen to me-” he cut himself off with a sob, a heart shattering sort of sound. His resolve cracking, his need to be settled down howling at him.
Through his cries, he begged, “What do I have to do to get you to listen to me?” The anger was gone, just heartbreak and so so much need.

Or, Denki’s breaks down and takes it out on Hitoshi. Thankfully their pack alpha Izuku comes to make it better.

Hawks looks down and his face lights up, as if he’s just now remembering his passenger. “Oh! She is a baby. Surely you’ve seen one before.”
He bounces a bit on the tips of his toes and the baby giggles, delightedly kicking out her arms and legs. Hawks smiles, a hand coming up protectively around her front, as if she’s going to slip out of the thing, despite the fact that she’s strapped in there tighter than a mental patient in a straitjacket.
