Summary
It’s been half a year now since his marriage to Mel fell apart and Jayce became a stay-at-home dad. A little less than that, since he offered Viktor the empty guest room, just to make juggling work and child-rearing overall easier.
It’s a question of convenience, really. Jayce gets to take care of his daughter, but he also has someone to watch her when he needs to run errands, to play with her next door while Jayce is in a conference call with their sponsors.
And if Mae gets a little confused about how many daddies she has… or if Jayce is in denial about what kind of partner he wants Viktor to be… Well. They’re going to figure it out eventually.

Summary
The physician waves him off with a well-meaning chuckle. “It happens, lad. Can’t blame you for being nervous. Now, your friend here told me you were dealing with a stomach bug?”
Nodding, Viktor describes the symptoms, while the older man gives him a check-up. He does prod and poke Viktor a little, takes his blood pressure and checks his throat, but it’s oddly comforting in the casual way he does it. Jayce stays close without interfering, just a steady, calm presence that puts Viktor further at ease.
When he’s asked to lay down, Viktor does so without hesitation, unbuttoning his shirt so the doctor can palpate his stomach. It’s a little uncomfortable, but very bearable, until the pressure wanders further down, around his navel and a little lower yet. Viktor winces at an odd sensation, not painful, but strange.

Viktor wakes up one day with nausea, and when it doesn't go away after a couple days, Jayce urges him to see a doctor.
He tells them that at least this time, it's not the first signs of a terminal illness...Series

Summary
His father had done his utmost to make Viktor feel loved despite his loss. Viktor never heard the man say it, but deep down he knew he sometimes wished things had gone differently; wished that it had been Viktor and not his Marie-Anne who died.
As he grew older, Viktor couldn’t blame his father for these unspoken thoughts. Wouldn’t his mother have been the better choice? She had the chance to do something worthwhile with her life, while he… well, look at him.

It should be a calm and quiet morning at the commune. Viktor and Jayce have established a safe haven in the depths of Zaun; a place where they can welcome a new life.
