Summary
To destroy the Shadow Fold and end the war, Alina had used merzost and done something never before seen; she gave up her Grisha power to destroy the darkness, to kill the Darkling, and in return she became nothing. Having effectively martyred Sankta Alina, she slipped away into an ordinary, unremarkable life with a boy she loved and no greater calling than being content in a simple otkazatsya life.
But the universe, and the power at the making of the world, is infinite. And, as Alina knew, the spark of Grisha power is always there, deep inside. When reaching in and reawakening that light, Alina finds herself tugging on something she'd thought dead, a bond forged by merzost, stretching beyond the barriers of life into the infinite unknown.
Set post Ruin and Rising, blatantly ignoring King of Scars.

Summary
She’s gesturing excitedly to the shorter girl, telling her about meeting Dylan at some hotel with a fountain that her mom dumped shampoo in, apparently. Sounds like a Linda shenanigan - one he’d appreciate more if he wasn’t listening to the girl he’s stupidly in love with talking about some dude sleeping in her room all weekend.
Zeke misunderstands something and gets a little....crazy jealous.

The look he gave her made her knees feel weak and for a moment Tina thought he might kiss her again, then he just stepped back towards the doors of the gym. “I’ll see ya later, T-Bird.”
“See you,” she parroted back, watching him pull the door open and step inside before turning and heading for the entrance of the school. Every part of her ached and screamed at her to go after him, to tell him exactly how she felt and that she was tired of keeping this thing between them a secret from everyone else.

"I didn't like you when you started liking me, but I'm different when I actually like someone back. You probably won't like me as much after we start dating."
Tina could feel Zeke's stare burning into her face but still couldn't bring herself to meet his eyes, so she couldn't quite tell what expression he was wearing. When he spoke however she could probably guess.
"So what I'm hearing is you're afraid I'll somehow like you less after my 4 years of unrequited feelings are finally reciprocated?"
Exasperated. He was definitely exasperated. Might've had a hint of fondness laced into it, but for the most part exasperated was definitely the emotion she was getting right now.
Tina bit the inside of her cheek, he made it sound so silly when he phrased it like that.

They reached Jimmy's place and Zeke looked over, like he always did, towards the Belcher residence and saw Tina. She looked a little overwhelmed at the register and was too busy to even glance in their direction. It seemed like business has improved over the years, which was good! But the poor girl looked so tired.
Zeke kept his eyes on the window, on her, when the words escaped him before he even realized it.
"Listen J-Ju, I like hangin' out with you, but you're also pretty fucking stupid when it comes to other people's feelings."

"Finally, he made it to where he had planned, concrete turning to dirt, then turning to sand as he descended down to the beach, where one girl stood alone, staring out at the sea. She swung her hands somewhat awkwardly at her sides, clearly anxious. Zeke couldn’t blame her in the slightest. Not when her anxieties were true.
At some point in his approach, it became clear she heard him as she perked up, turning so fast her hair smacked her in the cheek. It hurt more than Zeke cared to admit to see that look of excitement and hope curl up and die, being replaced by a quiet disappointment.
He didn’t take it personally. He understood."
