From a young age, Steve Harrington learned to be quite about anything that bothered him. Even when he was sick, Steve knew better than to say anything about it. Especially in front of his father. Being told from the age of three that you weren’t allowed to bother anyone, to through your problems on someone else, really had an affect on a person. So Steve learned not to complain. Not to say anything when there was a problem. When he was sick. When he was hurt. He couldn’t say anything.
He had to Man Up since he was three.

Now, this Friday was a little different, though none of the kids had noticed. In fact, no one had noticed. Steve, of course, had noticed because this was happening to him after all. Steve was sick. Like, really sick. He’d managed to hide it from everyone, including the kids, and had opted to let the kids do whatever they wanted. He even ordered some pizza he refused to touch, letting an excited Dustin and Will grab the pizza and pay the man. It had all worked out. The problem was, Steve hadn’t been sure how sick he was.

The girl looked at him sadly, which told him everything he needed to know. “So.. Uncle is wrong? I-I’m not selfish for being a child?” Hunter asked, his voice was pained and he sounded like he was about to cry. Actually, maybe he was, he couldn’t be sure.
The girl slowly reached out to him “You’re not selfish, you’re just a kid like us” she said. Hunter felt the tears hit his hands, huh.. I guess he was crying, as he quietly sobbed.
(Aka: Hunter talks to some kids and realises that Belos is an asshole, meanwhile the adults have no idea how to cope with their boss being a sad child)
