Summary
Emma recognizes the look in Regina’s eyes and her mouth goes dry as her lips part. She’s perched on top of one of the deputy desks near the windows, sitting regally in her black blazer, matching pencil skirt, dark pantyhose, and strappy heels. Regina’s posture is perfect, her legs are crossed, and she’s a mix of haughty, menacing, and seductive. And suddenly, Emma feels the waves of déjà vu hitting her and she knows she’s lived this moment before. In what feels like a lifetime ago.
“Sheriff Swan,” she addresses Emma in an unpleased tone, but then a smirk forms across her lips and a teasing look makes her brown eyes dance. “Took you long enough.”
Emma crosses her arms, raising an eyebrow at her in question and amusement. "Regina, wha-?"
“Miss Swan,” Regina cuts her off, her tone a little louder and impatient, and the familiarity of it sends a chill up Emma’s spine because of how wrong it sounds coming from current Regina’s mouth…and at the same time, how right. “I’ve been waiting.”
“Well, Madam Mayor, I’ve been out doing my job,” Emma offers in explanation, complementing her curt tone as she takes a few steps into the room.
“And I’ve been looking for a distraction from mine..."

Regina’s lip curls distastefully at that.
“He’s right,” Emma admits, and takes a sip of her water.
“You need to dance,” Regina says decidedly.
“I just told you—”
“I think you should dance,” Regina holds her gaze firmly. “I want you to dance.”
Emma still eyes her with a hint of confusion.
“With me.” Regina finishes breathily, she holds her hand out, and there’s a shy smile on her face. “Come on."Or the one where Regina shows Emma how she deserves to be treated and Emma finally follows her heart.

It's the day before Valentine's Day and suddenly Emma has a table for two at the most romantic restaurant in Storybrooke, thanks to Snow being too sick to go with David. The only problem is she doesn't have a date. Or she doesn't until Henry gets involved and thinks Regina would be her perfect Valentine's not-date date. But it doesn't take long for Emma to realize how much she actually wants Regina to be her Valentine. This is fluffy and romantic and sexy and set somewhere in Season 4 after Robin leaves with Marian and diverges from canon because Emma is now single.
