The author has a whole series of one-and-more-shots but this one is a fair bit longer, covering up to and all of first year - for Harry's one-year older sister, Heather.
Who smuggles him into Hogwarts!
There are some truly worthwhile scenes, as in, stop and soak it in moments, in what is otherwise a very entertaining story. Triscribe has a tendency to come up with unique (to me) plots/characters/POV's/timelines/etc... and, while I'd recommend the whole series, I bookmarked this one because it is going into my Keep folder for its sheer value to me, and I wanted to share that with you. -

He had a plan. He had pictured it clear as day. He and Ginny sending their three kids off on the Hogwarts express. Ron and him, best friends and partners stopping dark wizards. Hermione doing who knows what, but probably running the world, no doubt. He would have a comfortable home and a garden and a family. Some peace, maybe.
Expect none of that is happening. Well, maybe Hermione's still taking over the world, but none of the rest.
Instead he's staring blearily at this small muggle woman at three in the morning, wondering how someone so small can pack away so much vodka.
Not a lot of views or comments, but give it a shot! I uploaded it in a short amount of time.

Here's my final word in the last chapter review:
"Honestly, this is my new favorite direction for Harry. I'm very, very happy to have found this."'Far Better Things' is a combination Slice-of-Life and Post-Hogwarts-coming-of-age. There's no bashing, not even from or towards Ginny - nobody is a jerk, life just happens.
And that's the story... our lovable, dorky, frustratingly self-sacrificing Hero gradually sloughs off the self-imposed bits and grows up.
As an aside, I don't think I've ever enjoyed a tale with the 'Golden Trio' living in the same flat quite as much as this.
I've popped this gem into my Keep folder, give it a few chapters and then send me your thank-you note, after you praise the author! -

Strap in for a time travel tale like no other! There's some rough spots (because Sith should be their own warning), then there are some points of outright joy, and some ridiculousness that will make you laugh aloud (even if you're supposed to be working.)
All in all this is the kind of storytelling that takes "what if?" and runs with it like the wind! That's why I say, stap in and enjoy.
