The pairings are not in the main focus of the story, there is mention of Minerva McGonagall/Douglas McGregor, James Potter/Lily Evans etc. The main focus of the story is Minerva and her point of view, which follows the Marauders from the first wizarding war to the last. Also a major focus is on this object that Minerva receives from the Marauders.
