Eyes still closed, she finds her phone, taking it out to answer:
“Hello?” she all but croaks out.
It’s dead silent for a moment.
“Who the fuck is this?” the female voice on the other end demands.
Kate’s eyes snap open. She pulls back the phone, realizing she answered Anthony’s by mistake.
“Oh bugger” Kate mutters before she can stop herself.
Damn generic ringtone…
“Kate?! Is that you?! I fucking—”
But before Siena can finish her sentence, Kate hangs up.
