Summary
Alina doesn't care much about Percy Jackson. The guy's cool, sure, and he did help her with that pegasus once, which was nice, but it doesn't make them friends. They're companions in arms, at best, and simple acquaintances, at worst. Nothing bad, but nothing necessarily good either.
However, she is Annabeth's friend. She cares about Annabeth. They've known each other for years.

"Well then, why didn't you answer when Usopp was calling you? That's rude, you know," calls Nami, standing next to her tangerine grove, leaves in her ponytail.
"Oh!" Says Luffy; just like that, his grin reappears. "I was thinking."
"Thinking about what, Captain?" Says one of Robin's mouth on the mast, and Luffy looks down on the hat he still holds in his hand, the surprisingly sturdy string attached to it dangling in the air.
There's a pause, as they wait for his answer.
"I was just thinking," says Luffy, smile still wide and eyes stuck on the part of his hat where Nami's clumsy first attempts at mending are, "I was just thinking that I'm glad I get to travel with you all."(or: in which it's a sunny afternoon, happiness is well within reach, and Luffy's doing just fine, even without his brothers by his side.)

Athena’s eyes flash and glow, and she raises her hands. Annabeth closes her eyes, and everything in the air sizzles to a stop. There is a faint sea breeze, and then a familiar presence at her side.
“It would be unwise of you to hurt her.”
She opens her eyes to her boyfriend’s dad standing behind her, his eyes intent on her mother, who looks like she’s about to blow her top. Annabeth doesn’t breathe, doesn’t look away from Athena, but she takes several quick steps back to stand at Poseidon’s side. It’s not conscious; it’s a move based purely on self-preservation. Still, Annabeth is aware that every step she takes into the sea increases her mother’s ire and decreases the likelihood that Annabeth will ever be forgiven.

aka: Poseidon wants Percy to ascend. He'd like it even better if Percy chose to ascend. And if the best reason to become a god is for love, it doesn't take Poseidon long to realize that he doesn't have to look any further than Annabeth Chase. Meanwhile, while Annabeth is balancing PTSD, protecting Percy, and being a good daughter of a goddess who doesn't seem to care, she now has to figure out why she is on Poseidon's radar.

May 31st 1986, two weeks until graduation. Robin, Eddie, and Nancy are all set to walk across the stage, Eddie being given a free pass after the whole ‘almost framed for murder’ thing. The three have been trying to be excited about their graduation, but it feels almost mundane to be excited when Steve wouldn’t be there. They would be sat out on a football field in the blistering heat while waiting for their names to be called, with Dustin and Max in the crowd, cheering them on in Steve's place. There would be fake smiles plastered to all their faces, no matter how realistic they tried to make them.
None of them have genuinely smiled since Steve got Vecna'd.
Sixty-Five days. Steve had been in a coma for Sixty-Five days. The doctors keep telling The Party that it doesn't look good, that Steve's injures had been severe, and that they didn't know if, when, he would wake up.
But they refused to lose hope.
He'll wake up.
It's just a matter of time.

Five times Steve Harrington didn't wake up, and one time he did.
