That was why the creature was so familiar and warm and demanding.
Basira’s heart ached and she snapped up, catching Daisy’s neck in her teeth, digging in with her claws and nails as they rolled over each other. Each of them vying to be on top. The brambles dragged against their skin as they wrestled for control, drawing new blood. They could bleed.
