Giyuu’s breath hitched, his eyes shining with a mix of defiance and desperation. "Why do you keep leaving it, Shinazugawa? Why are you marking a house you say you’re going to leave?"
The silence that followed was electric. Sanemi’s scent flared, overwhelming and fierce, pinning Giyuu against the weight of the air itself. He looked down at Giyuu, his breath coming in short, jagged bursts. The Alpha had finally reached his limit; the fuse had finally hit the powder.
Sanemi’s hand shot out, grabbing Giyuu’s wrist—not to pull him away, but to steady himself. "Because I can't goddamn stand the thought of it smelling like anything else," Sanemi rasped, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous rumble. "I leave it because when I'm at my place, I'm thinking about you here, alone, in a house that’s too quiet."
He leaned in, his forehead nearly touching Giyuu’s. "You want the truth? I'm not leaving. I'm not going on that travel. Not unless you're the one walking beside me."
Or Sanemi and Giyuu find themselves in each other's orbit after the war.

I fucking hate this. Out of all the hashira I could have been paired with, why did it have to be him!?
The anger fuming off Sanemi was palatable. Master Ubuyashiki had called a meeting to talk about a new demon that was causing problems for a far off town. Because it was so far away and because of the strength of the demon, he thought it best to send two hashira. Those two hashira happened to be Giyuu Tomioka and Sanemi Shinazugawa. Hence why Sanemi was currently scaring every living creature out of his path as he trekked back to the Wind Estate.
Or
Sanemi and Giyuu get sent on a mission together and realize their feelings for each other.

Sanemi leans back into Giyuu’s touch and finally manages to calm his breathing. “I think you’re about to ask me if we should have a baby,” he says, mostly to tease and get a rise out of his mate, not really expecting that to be the question.
He’s probably just getting ahead of himself; that must be it.
Giyuu looks away, but he’s blushing a deep shade of red, and his scent turns happy and a little shy.
Shit, had Sanemi been right? Does Giyuu want to have a baby with him? Does Giyuu want Sanemi to put a baby in him? No fucking way, he must be imagining shit.
Suddenly, Sanemi can’t remember how to function, far too gone at the thought of Giyuu, round and heavy with their baby. The air in the room becomes too hot to breathe the longer Sanemi thinks. His teeth begin to ache even more now, desperate to bite down and sink into Giyuu’s nape.
