Summary
Jensen is a half-breed Gorgon who against his mother’s wishes left his home five years ago to get away from a lonely existence in Greece. But his mother would never let go. She sets him up on a date with a pure-blood Gorgon named Tristan Padalecki and as fate would have it, a disgruntled Jensen goes out only to find Tristan is an arrogant, self-absorbed bastard. He walks out on their first date never thinking of the consequences until a few days later when his friends and colleagues start dropping in the hospital in a catatonic state.

Summary

Summary
Jensen is a werecheetah, which are very rare, in part because they tend to be very high-anxiety and shy and don't experience regular heats, but must be brought into heat by the presence of a compatible mate while they are feeling receptive.
To help with this problem, at a young age, every werecheetah is paired with a werewolf or weredog of a similar age to be a companion. The werecanines help to make the werecheetahs feel safe and relaxed because of their protective instincts.
Jared is Jensen's werewolf or dog, so they've known one another practically their entire lives and are very close.
When Jen reaches adulthood, he is encouraged to find a compatible mate, preferably another werecheetah, but anything would work because offspring will take after the werehalf of only one parent, so odds are some of the children will also be werecheetahs either way.Jared accompanies Jen on several "dates" so he'll actually go and won't have panic attacks, but Jensen doesn't take to any of the options.
Then one night, Jen admits to Jared that he's been harboring secret feelings for his companion, and when he finds out Jared feels the same way, Jen goes into heat and they mate.
