“Maria?”
She shouts, wheeling around as her fingers instinctively form the position of her signature spell before she recognizes the voice as Alucard’s. It’s difficult to see in the dark, even when her eyes have long since adjusted, but he’s difficult to miss as he sits at the table, nursing a cup of God know’s what in his hands. She blinks rapidly. How had she not noticed him right away? She must have been more out of it than she thought. His head tilts in a way that mimicked feline curiosity, a searching expression on his face. “Couldn’t sleep?”
She meets Alucard’s eyes, noting the way that they seemed to glow in the dark, a sign of his ancestry, perhaps. She didn’t know, and right now she really didn’t care.
“W-Why are you sitting alone in the dark?” She asks instead of answering his question, though she regrets it the moment it leaves her mouth. He was a half-vampire, he probably could see in the dark just fine. “Nevermind. Don’t answer that,” she chooses to continue towards the cupboard. Unexpected company or not, she wanted her tea.
Maria tries to put herself back together once Richter leaves for Saint Domingue. Luckily, she's not alone. Not entirely

It is time for her royal confirmation ceremony. Leia Organa's official coming-of-age celebration, in which she is presented to members of the Imperial hierarchy, has finally come. She feels ready, if not somewhat apprehensive at the prospect of being flaunted like a debutante at a ball. It is a necessary spectacle, not only because she has chosen a worthy cause to which all proceeds will go, but because it will help solidify her political position as Princess of Alderaan, perhaps finally putting to rest any disquiet regarding her lack of true royal blood. There is only one problem: Darth Vader himself has decided to attend. Much, it seems, to her father’s dismay.
Or, Darth Vader unintentionally crashes his daughter’s sweet 16.

Summary
Life at Number Four, Privet Drive, was, above all else, incredibly dull. Clara Evans spent most of her days in the cupboard under the stairs, passing the time with chores or by spinning in circles until she was dizzy. There wasn’t much else to do.
That is, until the first letter arrived.
Written in green ink on thick parchment paper and delivered by a real-life owl, it was unlike anything the people on Privet Drive had ever seen. Normal people didn’t get strange letters from strange boarding schools like Hogwarts.
But Clara Evans wasn’t normal.
She was the girl who lived. The saviour of the first wizarding war—and, quite frankly, not at all interested in playing hero for the entire wizarding world, thank you very much.
