Jeno groans. “This sounds like you’re trying to set me up for a reality show.”
“It’s not a reality show,” Renjun says. “It’s me. Your best friend, the person who knows you the best in the whole world, helping you." He puts on his best big soft weepy eyes, the ones he uses when he wants Jeno to carry a bunch of heavy stuff from one place to another for him.
Jeno sighs, but he looks less guarded about it. Renjun has him right where he wants him “I don’t know.” Renjun lays the eyes on real thick, including a little lip pout in there. Jeno breaks. “Fine. One date. That’s it.”
Renjun mentally fist pumps. He knew he would get him. One is all he needs to start.
or, Jeno is a hopeless romantic who bounces from one long-term relationship to the next, only for each to end in heartbreak. Renjun, his best friend, is tired of watching him suffer. A few months after Jeno’s latest breakup, Renjun decides to take matters into his own hands and starts arranging blind dates with people he believes could be Jeno’s perfect match—after all, who knows him better than his best friend?

“i don’t think you’re a dick,” yangyang says, and renjun wants to point out that yangyang doesn’t know the slightest thing about him, but instead, yangyang continues, “besides, what if we did date or something?”
renjun laughs, loud. “hell would freeze over probably.”
yangyang does not laugh. like he’s serious. oh, god.
