He can see now why the influence of his power might be alluring for someone like Alastor, who still has trouble with letting himself be open and often struggles with setting aside his pride; something else Lucifer knows a thing or two about. The block of marble could have become anything, potential writ in every mineral vein. Under any other chisel it may have been a work of art ready for a museum or garden, something lovely and harmless.
Any other hand could have turned the block into a myriad of useful things, any other hand could have created something and then simply walked away.
But this hand belonged to a sculptor named Alastor and he created an angel just to watch it fall.
