Summary
Sergeant June 'Six' Byrne and Lieutenant Simon 'Ghost' Riley are part of TF141 -an elite group tasked with a dangerous mission.
Each mission brings them closer, and though danger looms, so does the magnetic pull between them.
“There was a soldier in the British army that was captured by a Mexican cartel. He escaped after being buried alive and digging his way out.” June's body tensed up at his story, "One day one of his former teammates showed up to catch up and no one knew he had been brainwashed. That same man went to the soldier’s home and killed his family on Christmas day." Ghost paused, the revelation of his past hanging heavy in the air.
June couldn’t breathe as she listened to his story, “What happened next?” She whispered.
“He started wearing a mask and changed his name, because he was now a ghost.” He tilted her chin so she could face him, “Until he met an annoying American. She was brave, smart and beautiful and ended up partnered with him.”“And when she looks at him, he feels alive. For the first time in years, he feels alive because she’s the only one who sees him.”
