  Feel free to read the summary but it sucks so please just read the actual fic 😭😭

  After months of being apart, Jared finally convinces his dad to let him and Kyle go on the trip to see the Crazy Horse monument.

  Only one problem- Jared's developed feelings for his new best friend, and doesn't know how to deal with them.

  Basically just a short fic detailing the first day and a half of their trip. Sorry, there isn't much about the monument in here! It was supposed to be focused on Jared's nightmares but I wanted it to be longer than just that so I just went outwards from there.

  Also- This takes place a couple months after the events of the book, in the fall, so Jared is 16 and Kyle is about to be/is 16 :)
  In the book Jared's birthday is specified to be in September, and Kyle's in October. This fic takes place sometime in October, probably after Kyle's birthday but we don't know the exact date so who knows lol
