After the battle against the Kree, Carol gets to spend one more night in Louisiana. Though there are many questions piling up in her head, there is also one certainty: She is in love with Maria Rambeau.
There’s a memory that’s been dancing in the peripherals of her mind, of a night like this where the world they knew was much smaller and the distance between them far less.
Carol sighs, “Can I ask you something?”
Maria pulls her eyes away from the TV, the dazed look from before disintegrating the longer she looks at Carol. She doesn’t answer immediately but continues to stare, eyes going all over Carol’s face like she’s realizing she’s here all over again. Maria blinks and inhales, “Yeah, of course.”
