“Well, well, aren’t we needy tonight? I can stop by and keep you warm later too if you like?” Alma laughed, further amused as Brom glowed brighter as she said this, his amber-red eyes bore daggers back at her. She traced her thumb along Brom’s bottom lip, then surprised him, and the two girls, by pulling him onto her lap in a full straddle. The women huffed as they were booted from their former pedestal, adjusting themselves back into their tops, red-faced and dismayed.

Haurchefant never asked for anything, ever. He was beautiful for it, a rare and gentle lily amongst the frozen tundra of Coerthas. Kaine would have taken on the entire Dravanian horde single-handedly if it meant keeping him safe.
Kaine opened his mouth to speak, then paused, thinking better for it. He tipped his head down, tilting Haurchefant’s face up with his hand. Their lips met, and he felt the sigh escape his beloved knight’s own as he claimed them for but a moment. Whispering one word to him as he pulled his hand back, still holding Haurchefant’s in his and took a single step away as blue aether began to surround him.
“Tonight…..” was all he said, and he strained himself to leave.
