Summary
Outside her window is a desolate landscape, a barren horizon in a sheen of greyish white. This was the dream Lucy chased after for all her life, or at least a majority of it. But here she is now, six months since her immigration to the moon, and all that she can think of is how to reunite with the true moon in her heart. There are some nights that pass in dreary desolation when she can just about hear that call from beyond the stars, offering her a way out from her routine of loneliness in an irreversible solution. Lucy supposes she is ready to try it, to see what lies on the other side, and maybe that answer will be an unexpected surprise.
