Tyler is found to be a problem. A burden to the bishops, unruly and hard to control, no matter what they try. Though Tyler himself has more pressing issues, as he can’t recall much about his recent life past maybe a few weeks back, yet he holds a deep hatred for his current life in the cement hell that is Dema. However, upon receiving a strange letter from someone he’s never heard of, he feels like he finally has a chance at escape…

Summary
After his father’s mysterious disappearance, Joshua finds himself accepting his heir to become the Torchbearer of Dragon’s Edge. He struggles with a legacy he is worried he cannot carry, and something beyond the islands continues to call out for him.
When rumours of the Night Furies returning to the Barbaric Archipelago arise, dragon riders begin to face all new kinds of threats, and Joshua must learn how to protect his village and their dragons.
He must also learn how to deal with an incessant masked dragon trapper who will not shut up about the icy serpent and his destiny to bring him back to life.
