“You were dead.” It’s Megumi who speaks this time. His voice has an edge to it that Gojo doesn’t remember. “But Ieiri-san bought you back to life.”
Questions jumble in Gojo’s mind— Where? How? When? RCT cannot bring back the— “Where is she?” he says, and his throat feels impossibly dry. “Where’s Shoko?”
A heavy silence befalls the room. Even Nobara is biting her lip, and when Gojo looks to Megumi, he refuses to meet his eyes.
Fear, like he’s never felt before roots in his spine. “Where the hell is sh—”
“She’s unconscious.” Its Megumi who speaks, again.
Suddenly the door is thrown open, and Itadori stumbles in, panting. “Fushiguro! Kugisaki! Just found out,” he’s swallows air greedily. “Ieiri-san’s pregnant!”
OR: Gojo deals with the fact that he's alive, then he deal with the fact that Shoko's pregnant, then deals with the child not being his?

He realizes it, blanketed in mundanity; the world still turning without knowing it teeters on the edge of his existence, of his power. Being a god, he thinks, isn’t about worship, but of maintenance; keeping the seams from splitting, remembering the names the world forgets, being the last line of defense. But what happens when a god dies?
Yuji is a cage, Megumi too haunted, Yuta, built upon borrowed bones already cracking. There is no next Gojo, no heir to infinity. And so the thought begins, rational, horrifying: if the world has no successor, I must make one.
Philosophers would call it utilitarianism. The clans, blasphemy. Shoko, betrayal. Gojo Satoru calls it mercy.
He could hold infinity, yet only when it began to slip did he realize the burden of holding it alone. The strongest neither a title that brings splendor nor a burden that crushes its bearer, but a sentence straight to death. If the world cannot produce another Gojo, he will forge one himself.
He calls it preservation. Yet, beneath the logic, it’s only the fear of dying without leaving a piece of himself behind that drives him to such lengths.
So he makes a choice.
