Sir Michael assesses them both. He seems to accept whatever he finds, nodding slowly. “I see. My apologies, it seems I have gotten ahead of myself. For how long have you two been courting, then?”
Someone chokes behind them, and for a second, Mike honestly thinks he’s misheard him. The look on his face is dead serious, though, stoic in a way that makes it very clear he’s not joking.
“What?” he croaks. He looks over at Will, who looks just as caught off guard as he feels.
“You need not be shy,” Michael reassures them, back straightening. “I, too, was hesitant when William and I first began our courtship. I understand.”
When Mike’s doppelgänger shows up dressed like something straight out of one of their D&D campaigns, Mike thinks he ought to be thrilled. There are alternate universes. There are alternate universes with knights and wizards and dragons. And, honestly, Mike probably would be thrilled, under normal circumstances. The guy is just so weird about him and Will.

"It's not fair." Mike announced angrily.
Dustin looked up. "What?"
"We've got these." Mike gestured at the table. "And Will's just…he doesn't have anything like this. That's not fair. You should have thought about him when you got these."
"Mike, I was lucky to find what I did! I wasn't exactly spoiled for choice out there. Where do you think I'm going to find gay porn magazines in Hawkins?"
"I don't know, you could have tried harder! Where did you even go to get these?"
"I'm not telling you that!"
"Then I'll go look myself." Mike was already planning it out in his head. It couldn't be that hard. This town had a lot of wreckage. Somebody had to have left something behind somewhere. "How hard can it be?"
Lucas lowered the magazine. He looked at Mike appraisingly, like he was trying to work something out. "You want to go out to find gay porn magazines…for Will?"
When Mike can't find a single gay porn magazine for Will in the wreckage of Hawkins, he decides to make one himself. That's just what best friends do.

Erik has made it his mission to call Wilhelm regularly and check up on him. The whole family seems to be in agreement that he is in a tumultuous and dangerous phase, that he could easily be steered in the wrong direction and cause perhaps unforeseen levels of PR damage, but Erik wonders whether his parents truly grasp how sensitive this life phase is for Wilhelm. It is a gut feeling, an inkling, that tells him to watch out for his little brother. Now more than ever.

Wilhelm adjusts much quicker to boarding school life than Erik expected. Time to pop the champagne corks and consider his enrollment at Hillerska a success story? Not yet.
Erik grows increasingly uncomfortable as he realizes that his little brother is head over heels in love with someone who might be – at best – a dubious character and could both hurt Wilhelm and damage the monarchy.
