And because she has his soul, he is honor bound to help her due to some demon summoning contract thingy. Or something.

But since when is love rational? Love rarely follows the path of logic, instead twisting along its own path. Love doesn’t care about lifespans.
And love doesn’t care about the aftermath either.
Love is beautiful. Love is cruel.
Love is love, and grief is grief.
