    The demon pivots on his heel, disregarding the furious Pillars and their weapons. He turns towards Ubuyashiki-sama who has appeared in the door. 
    “I will help you defeat the Demon King,” the demon announces, though that sentence is clearly unfinished. Giyuu stops breathing when the demon points right at him, “but that Slayer is mine.”

    The Slayer Corps is losing the war against Muzan.
    Kyoujurou is an old and powerful demon able to help them defeat the Demon King—but he won’t do it for free.
    Giyuu makes a deal fully expecting the story of his life to turn into a body horror, but willing to make that sacrifice. 
    Kyoujurou hopes for it to turn into a romance instead. 
    One of them is right. 
    (Or: Tomioka Giyuu slowly re-learning how to smile thanks to a severely underslept demon.)

    It’s difficult being a single father, but Nick does as best he can at raising his little girl, Kim, in a house on his own. With how much he works, he’s often worried about her feeling lonely- but thankfully loneliness doesn’t seem to be much of a problem for her with how many imaginary friends she seems to have. Nick has overheard her reading stories with her teddy bear, giggling and laughing as she entertains herself with a board game, and playing pirate with the ship in a bottle. Most children probably wouldn’t be found trying to strike up a conversation with something like a vacuum, microwave, or the hangers in their closet- but Nick just figures that his daughter is on the more imaginative side. As long as she’s happy and not getting hurt, what’s the harm? In any case, he loves hearing about the antics that Kim and her imaginary friends get up to. Though those friends may not be as “imaginary” as Nick believes them to be…

And he thought Cacao was going to kiss him. But he didn’t. And Vanilla felt nothing but confusion. And then he realized that was something he wanted, still wanted, after who knows how many years.
