Summary
Wednesday Addams had always assumed that if she ever dated a murderer, she would be the first to know.
As a bestselling crime fiction author, she prides herself on her observational skills. So discovering that her relentlessly cheerful girlfriend has been committing serial homicide without Wednesday noticing? That's not just an oversight. It’s an insult.

Summary
In the small and isolated town of Jericho, Enid moves into a modest apartment after enrolling at Nevermore College to study Journalism. There, she meets Wednesday — a dark Literature student — and the two don’t get along, despite their mutual attraction.
When a circus arrives in Jericho, strange things begin to happen: people start disappearing, fears take form, and ancient secrets resurface, pulling Wednesday and Enid into an ancestral conflict.
As fear spreads, they discover that sometimes the line between good and evil is thinner than it seems.

The Addams family are the scions of a death god based out of a College-AU Nevermore without powers. Enid joins them and helps fight off the circus, a sort of parasitic entity representing a god of fear. Very boots on the ground, amazing characterization.

Fester turned back to look at her, eyes slightly aglow in the night with all the raw electrical energy coursing through him. He thought about it for several seconds before shrugging.
“You’re a smart cookie, Wednesday. You’ll figure it out.” With that unhelpful comment, Fester tipped a hat he wasn’t wearing, and skipped away in the night.

Wednesday is investigating two monsters: a Hyde, and Laurel Gates. She knows she'll need some form of backup to take them both on headfirst - but she was not expecting that help to show up in the form of a colorful, loud, and hyper-friendly werewolf.
Slow burn fic as Wednesday and Enid partner up against the forces of evil, and fight to not only save the Outcast world, but each other.

Wednesday and Enid grow close as they investigate the murders until circumstances force Wednesday to give up her memories, leading to chaos.

“The conservatory believes suffering produces excellence,” Wednesday said. “It’s a theory.”
“Do you believe it?”
Wednesday paused, considering. Years ago, she would have said “yes” without hesitation. She had been raised on the gospel of beautiful pain: that art required sacrifice, that comfort was the enemy of transcendence, that the greatest musicians played from wounds that never fully healed.
But that was before.
Before the diagnosis, before the silence crept in and swallowed everything she knew about suffering and art and meaning.
“I believe,” Wednesday replied carefully, “that suffering happens regardless of what we do.”
Wednesday Addams is a deaf cello prodigy, faking her way through Nevermore Conservatory.
Until Enid arrives—the most persistent person Wednesday has ever failed to drive away—and the cellist discovers that music might still exist in the space between vibration and touch.
But falling in love with someone who dances like the rising sun becomes infinitely more complicated when Enid’s body begins to betray her too.
