Summary
Many years after her disappearance, December Holiday returns. But she isn’t the same, and she isn’t whole. Her body is twisted by her time in the dark, leaving her all but chained to it. She and her mother need Kris’ help to return her to the way she was and thwart the Angel’s Prophecy in the process. They don’t hesitate to agree, but in order to help, they need to prepare. They need to become stronger.
These are some of the nights they spend with Dess trying to do just that. At the same time, they do their best to return some semblance of normalcy to her life.
This along with trying to keep their feelings for her, still smoldering after so many years, under wraps.
They are successful at two of those three things.

Summary
They say time heals all wounds. Twelve years after Santa Barbara, wounds may not be healed, but they’re certainly less raw.
Desperation drives Abby and all that remains of the Catalina Fireflies to follow rumors of a person spreading immunity to the cordyceps infection. She isn’t entirely surprised when that person turns out to be Ellie, but it doesn’t make it any easier to ask her for help.
Against all her preconceptions about the woman, she does.
By now both of them have learned that the way forward isn’t by chasing the past, or running from it. But when forced to coexist in the same community, they have to at least confront it. For the sake of the people they love, they have to put it behind them once and for all.
And maybe, for the sake of themselves… build something new between them.

Summary
It shouldn’t be doing this. This isn’t what they said it would do. This isn’t what they agreed to.
"Why?! What the fuck do you want with Noelle?! Why are you doing this?! Just leave her alone!”
It doesn’t answer, but they aren’t swayed. It can speak. They know it can speak. It spoke to them that first morning they had it. It had told them ‘Good morning.’ Like they were fucking friends or something.
They don’t move away. They just rattle the cage menacingly.
Eventually, it does speak.
"This is not the first time we have been here."

Summary
A mostly non-linear collection of moments from the life of Kris Dreemurr that range from the short to the long, the positive to the negative, and the largely inconsequential to the ultimately impactful. Moments of fun, friendship, family, love, growth, change, and discovery on their path from young child to young teen. Several dozen pieces plucked from the immeasurably complex puzzle that is the sole human resident of Hometown.
In short, the moments that make them who they are, big and small.
Set in an alternate universe before the events of the game, but it’s as they say: all roads lead to Rome. Or something close to it, as the case may be.

Summary
Something about the interactions with Kris, the weird interactions with them, had brought up a million painful memories to stab at her head.
Noelle missed Dess.
It was all intertwined together. When Noelle got sad about her friendship with Kris, she got sad about the life she’d lost, and it all went back to Dess.

Summary
Kris paused, one hand holding back a particularly large branch. They looked right at her, bangs stuck to their sweaty forehead and therefore revealing brown eyes.
“It’s shady back here.”
That… that was an invitation. It was a Kris invitation. Five minutes ago, Noelle was balling her fists up at the idea of how little Kris acknowledged her very existence. Now, they were inviting her gallivanting into the woods with them. The idea, today of all days, made her a little sick.
The shade looked nice, though-- spending time with Kris sounded nice.
