When Feyre gets stolen away from their cabin by a beast, and Nesta's father and sister have no memory of it, Nesta follows her baby sister herself over the wall. But instead of rescuing Feyre, Nesta gets kidnapped by Rhysand and tricked into a bargain for Feyre's life. She has to rely on her wits to survive Prythian and this evil faerie's mysterious intentions, first Under the Mountain and then the Night Court.
Rhysand can't rationalize why he stole a snarling mortal girl away from the Spring Court. But when he drags her Under the Mountain, first to toy with her and then for some real companionship while in Amarantha's claws, he begins to realize that this odd mortal is more important to him than he wishes her to be.
