Summary
Steve kicks him a little harder in the side to wake him up, ”Get up asshole.” Hargrove’s eyelids flutter for a moment and then he looks around with unfocused eyes until he spots Steve hovering over him. The flinch he makes is quite impressive, and even though his limbs seem to be working against him he makes a valiant effort to crawl away from Steve.
OR
Hargrove’s a grade-A asshole, but after their fight at the Byers’ he finally starts leaving Steve alone. Ironically the tables turn and now it’s Steve who can’t stop obsessing over Hargrove. And the more he watches, the more obvious it becomes that Hargrove is one big, fat, fraud.

Summary
Steve scoffs. “Hargrove– we’re not friends. We barely tolerate each other. Why the fuck would you want to hang out with me willingly?”
For a moment, Billy says nothing, and Steve just stares at him in exasperated confusion. Finally, Billy says, “Believe it or not, Harrington, sometimes I like the quiet, too.”
And… Steve can kind of understand that. Being the party king is a lot. Living in Hawkins is a lot. “Yeah, okay. I get it.”Or, how Steve and Billy become ride-or-die best friends (who sometimes jerk off and fuck girls together.)

“Are you excited?” Heather saves him, leaning over to snag the tickets out of Billy’s hands. “Don’t know if you noticed big guy, but we only have a couple of days to get to San Diego. We head out in the morning, we wanted to leave it until the last minute, so you didn’t have to wait.”
Billy takes a deep breath; annoyed that it still comes out shaky on the exhale. “You wanted to get the jump on me more like.”
“Well, there’s also that,” Robin says with a grin. “No chance of backing out now Hargrove. We’ve got a road trip planned!”
