Summary
Vi looks at the big clock on the far wall. 7:46AM. She’s one minute late today. Every morning for the past six months - well, every morning Vi’s been on shift, so she’s just assuming about the other days - she’s passed by at exactly 7:45AM, always at a brisk walk, always in a perfectly-tailored suit, not a single long, silky-looking hair out of place.
7:47AM. The crisp clack of heeled boots on concrete pulls Vi out of her musings. There must have been some sort of emergency, because the subject of Vi’s (minor) obsession walks past the fire station at a faster clip than normal. Which is sort of saying something, because Mystery Woman’s got legs for days, long and slender, visibly toned with long, lean muscle through her suit pants. At the faster clip, Vi has less time to admire her ass and tiny, tiny waist as she walks by, but that’s fine, because the view as she leaves is fantastic.

Caitlyn panicked, feeling extraordinarily unprepared having been thrust into her new position without so much as even a handbook to consult. What were the formalities? What was she supposed to respond with? Where was the damn push to talk button…
“Hellooo? I said Houston, do you copy?”
Caitlyn fiddled with her headset, having finally found the green button on the side and hastily letting out a rather breathless reply. “Um, yes. Hello? This is Houston. I copy.”
There was a long pause in which Caitlyn sat twiddling her thumbs, anxiety pushing the frantic pulse of her heartbeat through her eardrums. Was that wrong? Did she already fuck up? She took a steady deep breath, finger hovering over the talk button until the familiar voice of the astronaut came through her headset once more.
“Damn, Houston. I didn’t expect you to sound so sexy.”

Caitlyn has been assigned as the personal capcom to one of the astronauts currently on a year long expedition at the international space station. Cue long months of pining and desperate longing.

Vi started unbuttoning her shirt, breathing heavily as she went down Caitlin’s neck, biting too hard, it would show the next day. “Hey do that where you can not see it, some of us have a real fucking job” she said grabbing Vi by the hair and pulling her head. “Oh so you do something else besides the enforcer thing?” The corner of her lips drawing a stupid smile. Pulling her hair again she got closer to her face, breathing as one, “Be careful, you’re only doing this because I allow you, so shut your mouth and make me enjoy it” “I can’t do that with my mouth shut” Vi’s eyes sparkling with amusement.

"You’re awake!" was the first thing Vi heard as she made her way back to consciousness. Her entire body ached, yet she felt strangely numb. She tried to move, but a soft hand gently stopped her, and the simple touch made her relax instantly weirdly.
"It took three doctors including my father to patch you up, i don't want their handwork to go to waste" Her tone was a blend of concern and authority.
"You really caused quite an uproar." she chuckled as if something was funny, but it was a sound Vi could get to use it "I’ll notify them that you’ve woken up."
She pulled her hands away once Vi finally calmed, leaving Vi unsure whether to feel relieved or disappointed.

"Get off me," Vi hissed, wriggling to pull the piece of soft cotton Caitlyn was pressing onto her wound off. She gritted her teeth as every muscle in her body strained against the pressure Caitlyn applied.
"You hard-headed twit ! Stay still," Caitlyn snapped, straddling her and pinning Vi’s hands above her head with one hand to keep her still.
Vi raised a mocking brow, certain she could turn the tables and overpower Caitlyn if she tried to make this a proper fight. "You’re overestimating yourself, Cupcake."
"Am I ?" Caitlyn pushed down harder, her strength pressing against Vi who tried to shift her hips to buck Caitlyn off but couldn’t quite manage it. She dug her fingers into the fabric of Caitlyn’s shirt to claw her off, but Caitlyn’s height was working in her favor and kept Vi in place.

“I always only see one side of your face,” Caitlyn caresses the tattoo on Vi’s face, her eyebrow raised but Caitlyn continued before she could speak. “It’s the side that stands by my side, the side I see when we have our weakest moments, when we make love at night.”
Caitlyn shuffled onto her lap then, Vi chuckled but brought her hands to Caitlyn’s waist, turning to follow her face, they shared air for a moment before Caitlyn’s hand felt its way over her shoulder and up her neck. “What are you doing?” Vi laughed a little, the angle felt odd but she didn’t protest, staying still as Caitlyn carefully brushed her hair out of her face and held it back.
“This is the side that protects me. I don’t get to see it much, but it’s always there,” Caitlyn placed at first careful then gentle kisses along her cheekbone to her brow. “The only place I see your whole face is where I can’t gauge your distance,” Caitlyn’s voice cracked a little as she pulled back again and looked at the side of Vi she’d deemed protector.
“You can talk to me, Violet,” Caitlyn said quietly.

Cait found herself staring at Vi's Wikipedia photo. She was hot. It was a picture of her posing at the 2022 Mexico Grand Prix during the national anthem. She had her arms crossed and her suit was tied around her hips. There was something about the look in her eyes that made her so alluring. By the way she was posing, she seemed very confident. The contrast between her red hair and the navy blue race suit was nice. She scrolled down to the personal life section and it turned out that Vi was a lesbian. Cait felt embarrassed to feel excited about that. Like she'd ever have a chance with a F1 driver.
Wait. Cait had forgotten who she was for a moment. She was Caitlyn Kiramman, one of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century, winner of hundreds of awards and currently doing one of the most succesful world tours in history. Of course she had a fucking chance, she just had to try.
Or, Cait is hired to perform at the 15th anniversary of the Singapore Grand Prix and she finds herself intrigued by one of the most notorious drivers on the grid, Vi.

“Quite some time? So, we’ve met before?” Tally whispered hesitantly, unsure she wanted the answer at the look of familiarity on the General’s face.
“Yes.” There’s a fond smile of recollection on the older woman’s face as she answers the redhead. The deep blue of the General’s aura almost sparkles with it.
“When?” The question squeaks out of terrified lips.
“The first time?” The older woman asks for clarification. Tally can only nod as she feels as though she’s just swallowed a hot coal. The General looks to the ceiling squinting, as if recalling a memory.
“It was 1679 in Eastern Europe, I was four.” General Alder tells her and Tally promptly chokes on her own saliva.
