It takes a long time for Rain to be able to say it. Months. And even then, what comes out of his mouth is a stuttering, stop-and-start, incomplete mumbling into Payu’s chest.
“The first night,” He says slowly, “I thought you were going to… I wanted you to… I…”
Payu takes pity on him. He runs a hand through Rain’s hair, tugging teasingly at the nape. “I know what you wanted,” he says, and relief floods Rain. Because of course Payu knows. Even when Rain himself is still struggling to put his thoughts into a cohesive order, Payu knows exactly what he wants.
