    What if when Carina walked out that hospital room door they really were done?

    The weeks and months that followed Maya’s accident were difficult for both of them. Maya worked tirelessly in therapy sessions with Diane. The firefighter finally saw where everyone around her was coming from. For Carina… things only got harder. She couldn’t eat, she couldn’t sleep, she couldn’t do her job. No matter how hard she tried she just couldn’t remove the pain that she’d felt seeing the woman she loved hurt herself.

    Despite therapy and Carina seeing a change in Maya, the Italian couldn’t put herself back into the position.
