Hidden in the spirit realm, Prince Zuko finds the answer to his missing strength – a race of people made from fire he can literally bend to his will, part of a city ruled by the elements. Still desperate to regain his honour, his Uncle begs him to learn from the fire spirits, but Zuko stoops lower and lower into his pain; he could force these spirits into his own personal army and capture the Avatar - or be the one true lord of fire and displace the Fire Lord, his father, himself.
The Avatar awakes from a 100-year slumber not even on the same planet, but instead the orbiting moon of Pandora. Somewhere he senses the airbenders are gone, and his own connection to the elements, but this moon has it’s own secrets of airwalking and flight in the Na’vi. He’s not the first outsider – Jake Sully is all military and fight, despite being adopted by and becoming one of the natives. Aang might learn their style of airbending, but he’s more reluctant to let Jake lead them back to the planet to join the fight.
