Toby looked like a beaten-up piñata, but… with no candy inside... And his bike, well, it’s definitely seen better days with its front wheel twisted askew and unlikely to function properly. He’d have to walk the rest of the way, which, unfortunately, was several blocks. He’d never make it! That thought only made him cry harder.
“Hey, are you okay?”
The small and timid voice caught Toby off guard, and with water-filled eyes, he looked up from his injuries to stare up into a young boy’s face that—hold the phone! Toby recognized this kid! He was in his kindergarten class! And not only that, but this boy also lived in the house across the street!

When Donnie switched his gaze away from Mikey’s pity party to look at Raph, he noticed something uncomfortable flicker in Raph’s eyes, something Mikey entirely missed. That look meant Raphael did something he wasn’t supposed to.
“Uh… have ya checked the ground? Maybe it fell off.”
“Yes!”
“Did ya check behind yer nightstand?”
“Yes!”
“Under yer bed?”
“Yes! Yes! Yes! It’s gone!”
And when it looked like Raph had run out of wiggle room, he suddenly said something that caught Donnie entirely off guard;
“Then it sounds like the leprechauns took it.”

Summary
Donnie pushed the heels of his hands against his exhausted, burning eyes and withheld a groan that wanted to escape his lips. It was his fault Leo was stuck in a coma with no sign of waking up. It was his fault their father was gone -most likely dead- because he didn't listen to Leonardo when the oldest said they should leave the city before the invasion started. This was all his fault, and he had no clue where to begin to start fixing his mistakes. The only idea he had was to create a mutagenic medicine to help cure Leo and help him recover faster, but all his attempts to create said medicine ended up rejected and tossed with the rest of the discarded batches of mutagen that couldn't be saved or salvaged.
Bro fluff! Rated K. Set in the 2k12 universe.

It started with just a mild cough which was easily stifled, plus, a million bajillion prayers and finger crossings that his brothers didn't notice. Then it turned into a harsher cough, a runny nose, and an itchy, sore throat before the day was finished. He tried to hide it, but doing so made everything worse.

Summary
So Katsuki is confident that there isn't that much that he doesn't know about Deku, and he puts the thought of maybe I don't know Deku very well anymore firmly out of his mind, out of even the realm of possibility.
This kind of minor personal bullshit isn't important to becoming the Number 1 Hero. Really, the fact that Katsuki even let himself think about it at all is ridiculous. Those are braincells and seconds he'll never get back.
He doesn't care about Deku enough to even want to know him better.
(At least, that's what he tells himself. Again and again, furiously, with his molars grinding together and his own glare piercing him through the mirror, forcing himself to believe it.)
Katsuki isn't very practiced at accepting when he was wrong about something, so of course there's an adjustment period after realizing he was wrong about Deku.

Summary
On Izuku's desk in the UA teacher's office sits a small desk organizer, a cheap thing made partly of synthesized wood and partly of plastic, with a few drawers for papers and office supplies. In it, Izuku keeps extra pens, paperclips, his current journal, and printed copies of every invitation to join someone's agency that he's received since getting his suit.
Every one of his friends with their own agency has sent him one. Open hands extended towards him, ready to lift him up into the world he's so late arriving to. The only friend he doesn't have an actual physical and official written invitation from is Katsuki, who always springs it on him verbally when Izuku is least ready for it, as if trying to startle Izuku into accepting.
That doesn't make the offer less real to Izuku, though. In fact, it's probably the only one that he finds himself fighting off thoughts of the most. The only one he ever feels genuinely tempted—despite his efforts not to be—to accept.
After his triumphant return to hero work, Izuku's friends notice that he has rejected any and every offer he's gotten to join an agency.
They decide a bit of an intervention is in order.

Summary
Hours later, when the sun has completely gone down and Shouto steps out of the shower for the third time, his hair is the pitchest, mattest black he’s ever seen. He marvels at it in the foggy mirror, tilting his head this way and that, not even bothered by the blotchy stains of dye left around his hairline where he’d been a little sloppy. It's not bad for an amateur self-dye job.
Slowly, Shouto brings a hand up, and covers the left side of his face.
The person who stares back at him is just a plain teenage boy, with a plain face, and nothing remarkable about him.
Shouto dares to smile.
Shouto Todoroki runs away from everything he's ever known. He ends up finding a friend, and himself.

Midoriya emerged from the darkness, rubbing at an eye tiredly, “Mind if I join you?” He asked, mouth cracking wide on a yawn.
Hitoshi blinked up at Midoriya, examining the other boy for a moment. In the low, pale light, the bags under Midoriya’s eyes looked as deep as Hitoshi’s own. Puffy and purple, they stood out starkly against his skin, making Midoriya look sickly pale in contrast to the energetic version of him Hitoshi had gotten used to dealing with during the day.
But, he supposed, of all the people in Class 1-A to get stuck watching a bad movie with in the middle of the night, Midoriya wasn’t the worst.
There's only room enough for one insomniac in Class 1-A, so Hitoshi can't have Midoriya encroaching on his title.- Language:

Summary
There are, Izuku thinks, a few immutable laws of the universe. Laws that are baked into the coding of the ways the world works. Fundamental building blocks that dictate just a few core principles that reality cannot operate without.
First; gravity is somewhat essential. (Although Izuku knows Uraraka will argue this one with him. He only lists it first when she is out of earshot.)
Second; there will always be smaller things that bigger things can eat to live. (Survival of the fittest, Kacchan would call it. The circle of life, Shouto would say instead.)
Third; Midoriya Izuku will find a way to break himself with anything good that is given to him.
Izuku gets stuck. But it's more complicated than that.
