Summary
Tim now stared at the papers in his hand with disbelieving eyes. Holy fuck, Bruce is going to kill me.
The buzzing of his phone broke through his thoughts, and for a moment, Tim considered flinging it across the room to shut it up. Then, apparently the phone had been so insistent and non-stop for the past few minutes, that Percy had begun to stir.
Good timing. As soon as Percy's eyes fluttered open, Tim shoved the marriage certificate and license in front of his face.
“Hey, remember last night?” Tim asked as he watched Percy groggily scanned over the certificate.
Tim waited patiently for the man's brain to catch up, watching him furrow his brows as he tried to read the written text over and over. Then, a good few minutes later, he dragged a hand down his face in defeat.
“I'm actually dyslexic,” Percy said, flatly. His eyes fluttered close again.
Tim wanted to shake him.
OR; Tim wasn't one for impulsive decisions, but Percy definitely was.

Summary
Dick Grayson didn’t mean to avoid Tim Drake.
Dick was fairly confident the boy would make a decent Robin. But beyond that Dick didn’t have any strong opinions, and he was happy to leave it that way. He refused to form an opinion, to become attached. It was easier that way. Dick didn’t want to take the time to examine the dread he felt seeing Tim in his colors, standing in the same spot another black haired, blue eyed boy used to be. He wasn’t looking for a new brother. That’s what he told himself when eight months had passed and he had only met the boy a handful of times.
Dick stopped telling himself that when he learned that Tim had died due to the Joker.
Or: In Tim's early Robin days, Dick realizes he needs to step up and mentor the boy who now holds his mantle. Tim is going to be part of the family, no matter what Bruce has to say.

Summary
The judge's gavel slammed down with more force than necessary. The judge was a woman in her mid-forties, who was staring Max down with the intensity of an eagle eying its prey. Brown eyes pierced into dark blue ones. Max swallowed ever so lightly, trying to seem less intimidated than he felt. A small smile appeared on the woman's lips, curving the usual straight line they formed on her face. Cruel. Deserved, perhaps, Max thought to himself.
"Max Emilian will be sentenced to at least a year in the Blackwood Rehabilitation Centre for Troubled Youth. After that, a reassessment of his capabilities will be possible."Or: Max is a teenage criminal, Blackwood Rehabilitation Centre is his last hope before he goes straight to Juvie. There, he is put under the care of Lewis, one of the senior caretakers, who is in charge of him and three other boys. The others aren’t always exactly nice to him, and Lewis has a tendency to believe their side of the story rather than Max’s.

Summary
Finney has been held captive by the Grabber for two years before any of the other boys are kidnapped. When Griffin is first brought into the basement, he is absolutely terrified, while Finney remains emotionally numb, enduring the abuse without resistance—a clear sign of how deeply traumatized he is. As Billy, Vance, Bruce, and Robin are brought down one by one, they notice Finney’s complete compliance and grow increasingly alarmed. With Finney unable to fight back or save himself, it becomes the other boys’ responsibility to rescue the broken fourteen-year-old before it’s too late.
