Summary
This is a High school AU that is borderline pre-canon. There are a few major plot differences to the movie, but Luke and Cassie's personal storylines are essentially the same. Luke is struggling with addiction and Cassie is trying to forge her path in the music industry, whilst struggling (unknowingly) with symptoms of T1D. When they are forced to live together as 17yr olds, at first they don't get along at all. Eventually they work through their differences and build a deeply connected relationship.
Explicit rating applies to Chapter 6.
