“Uh, yes?”Or: you try to be a good samaritan by saving the life of a boy that was brought into your office to be autopsied. somehow this turns into you becoming the private doctor for a crime lord despite the fact you are much more qualified to take people apart than you are to put them together. you don’t know what you did, but surely you did not survive medical school, divorce, and everything else life has thrown your way just to have to survive him too.

“Oh?” I questioned with a small, satisfied smile on my face. “I see you didn’t deny the fact that a warrior could be trying to woo me and save me from harm's way.” A victorious smirk plastered my face as Sylus only rolled his eyes at my continued teasing.
“First, must I remind you that I was the one saving your sorry ass. And second, I doubt any warrior would want to woo you with your attitude.” Sylus replied and although his broad shoulders were faced towards me, I could feel the smug smile that was pulling on the corner of his lips as I let out a sharp laugh before using my foot to push the annoying bastard down.
Or at least attempted to, however, he was unmovable as a boulder—as per usual.
“Nice try, sweetheart. I almost felt it this time.”
“Shut up, you overgrown beast.”
