Alastor is another well-to-do gentleman in the dwindling Jazz Age. His radio show is a favorite in the Pentagram red-light district where sin is as readily available as cheap booze. Stardom, however, has not satiated his appetite for thrills. Ambition leads him to cross paths with the Puppetmaster of the Pentagram, Lucifer. Hoping to usurp the ocularist and puppeteer's power in the district, Alastor takes a special interest in Lucifer's latest marionette—a most special, smiling belle.
