Summary
It's been six years since the band went on its famous hiatus. Six years of solo and independence, whether he wanted it or not, knowing he had to take the time to rebuild himself. He did what needed to be done.
It has been six years since Louis's life was turned upside down, and now it is about to happen again. The band is reuniting, and Harry Styles is about to step into his life once again.
He promises to everyone that dares to ask that he is ready. Yet, his reassuring words, when spoken, are less felt in his soul. Will he be strong enough? Sometimes, even he doesn't know how his own mind works, what is truly buried and anesthetized there, under ruins of unconscious thoughts.
But Harry. That much he knows. He is about to meet his ex-best friend again, and only God knows how's that's gonna go. Louis just hopes for the best.
In other words, it is the one in which Harry storms back into Louis's life and makes him forget what breathing means; and staring at each other's eyes is their favorite renewed hobby.

“Don't umm don't get on the bus, come inside.” Louis blurted the words out, speaking quickly.
Harry looked startled.
“Just. Look I don't know if I want..” Louis scrubbed his face with his hand. “I'll pay for your time. Just come in.”
Harry stepped away from the bus stop and the bus sailed straight past.
“What's umm what do you guys make these days?”
Harry shuffled his feet. “Depends. Like two hundred an hour.”
Louis hummed. “Reasonable.” He gestured towards the hotel. “Come up for a drink or some room service or something.”
Harry scraped the toe of his already scuffed boots on the floor. “You don't have to do this, I feel like… like you're a nice person who feels bad but it's fine. I get it. You don't have to make it up to me.”
Louis stared at Harry. It'd been so long since he'd even spoken to a guy let alone hung out with one. He'd enjoyed the banter and the flirting.
“Come up.” Louis’ voice was soft.
Harry’s face bloomed into a smile. “Ok.”

Harry loved Louis almost more than he loved any other human being on the planet. He loved him so much. They were the best of friends. Harry supposed the feeling derived from that. He wasn’t sure. He just knew he probably wouldn’t make it in life without Lou in it.
When Harry’s eyes opened, Louis’ face was significantly closer until he almost couldn’t see it anymore. He hadn’t realized what was happening until it happened, until Louis’ lips were planted on his, kissing him. When he heard Louis moan lowly against his mouth, he was convinced it was all a dream. But he could taste the alcohol on Louis’ tongue, he could smell his cologne as plain as day, and he wasn’t sure what to believe anymore...

Living with his best friend, Harry, for the past six months was amazing; always someone around to have a laugh with, play video games with, and eat late night pizza with. And Harry’s penchant for walking around naked never really bothered Louis…until today.
Maybe it was Louis' recent break up with Hannah and his realization that maybe-just maybe-he wasn’t into girls. Maybe it was Harry’s ridiculously hot body that currently stood stark-raving naked at the end of the couch, hip popped to the side, strong hamstrings standing at attention, biceps flexed as he scrolled through his phone. Maybe Louis was losing his god damned mind because Harry was straight. And so was Louis.

"It's alright" Harry answered. Because 'Oh no it's alright, I loved having you near me again, all sleepy and cuddly' seemed not the right thing to say at that point, he opted for adding "You seemed very tired, so I didn't want to wake you."
Harry and Louis broke up in 2012 because they just couldn't deal with all the hiding and closeting. Or well, Louis couldn't take it, since he was the one to break up with Harry. They tried to remain friends, being in the biggest boyband and all, but it just wasn't the same. Harry had to see Louis having girlfriends and living the straight life everyone expected him to.
But one day during their Hiatus that started 2016, Harry finds Louis standing in front of his door. Will they find their way back to each other? Even though there is a baby and a girlfriend in the game?
