Johnny Joestar was a famous ice skater, one of the most popular boys in the sport. That is, until the day a pair of ice skates went flying into his legs, damaging his nerves beyond repair. They left him with horrific damage, his only choice being an extensive surgery to repair them. Though, he could no longer make money, but he knew he had to get back on the rink. Left with no family and nowhere to go, he decided to become a prostitute. This habit continued until he met Gyro Zeppeli, an older, higher-ranking skater. He moved like a bird in flight, gracefully gliding across the ice. Mesmerized by his presence. he decided to talk to Gyro, asking many questions surrounding his technique as well as other subjects. Gyro didn’t understand why he asked all this, as his legs were clearly damaged beyond repair, but his resolve was captivating. He decided to mentor Johnny, to try to help him get back on the ice again, though his efforts were futile. after countless weeks of trying, Gyro realizes that surgery is the only helpful factor, and him and Johnny decide to make a deal.
