「Don’t.」Perry’s chest is heaving with the effort it takes to stand; the sweat under his collar is becoming unbearable and, after a moment’s hesitation, he loosens the knot of his tie.
“I am trying to help you,” Doofenshmirtz says unsteadily, “let me-?”
「Don’t trust myself,」Perry signs one-handed, the other tugging and tugging on his tie until the knot isn’t just loose, it’s entirely undone. He yanks it off with a growl and lets it fall to the floor. 「Might do something I can’t take back.」
After being dosed with an unknown drug on a mission, Perry goes to DEI to ride out the effects in safety. He should've known Doofenshmirtz would have questions.

After the events of Sonic 3, Agent Stone spirals as he is left on his own to deal with the fallout. After a month of wallowing in anguish and self-pity, a familiar black and red hedgehog suddenly shows up at the Crab demanding to speak with Dr Robotnik.
