Summary
"Aren't you cold?" came a timid question. Harry glanced at his Defense professor, who'd courageously decided to walk closer, until he was standing right next to him. He took in his hunched over form, crumbling under so many coats and blankets he seemed to be two times his size, and the familiar feeling of unknown instincts rose to the surface. His first instinct was to frown, and whip up a few harsh words.
"Why don't you just-" Harry cut himself off. In the light of the realisation he'd just made, the young werewolf realised that the man slightly cowering next to him had never done anything deserving of such anger. The man, though somewhat clumsy in his attempts, had only ever tried to reach out to him, despite Harry burning every single bridge he'd extended towards him. The boy gaped for a few seconds, his mind running blank.
"I Uhm…I mean, no. I'm pretty warm blooded." he amended. A flash of surprise crossed the professor's eyes, quickly replaced with a kind smile.

Summary
When he'd placed Harry Potter with the Dursleys, Dumbledore thought he was doing something good. He was protecting the boy. He had to be protected: He was essential to their side of the war. Because his victory over the Dark Lord had been prophesied, Dumbledore had been fairly certain the boy would survive his formative years and he felt confident enough to only dedicate Mrs. Figg to making sure he was alive and well.
Turns out, that had been an enormous mistake because something was wrong with Harry Potter. Something had taken his place. That... thing living with the Dursleys wasn't Harry Potter.
How would they defeat Voldemort now?
