“Cruz… Cruz…” she mutters the name. Stupidly. Forgetting for a moment that her room could be bugged. Though she’s looked and hasn’t found anything and been assured there’s nothing to find. But she can’t trust those assurances. So she carries on. Mumbling nonsense to cover her tracks, “A Bahamas cruise. No. An Alaskan cruise. No…” she trails off into sigh. Feeling dumb. Angry. At Cruz. C-R-U-Z. A stupid name. Ridiculous. Though somewhat better than the spelling she had in mind for most of their chat. The idea that she was speaking to someone with a name spelled C-R-U-I-S-E had her doubting her reality. Wondering whether she was stuck in a terrible dream. But it was all real. It is all real. Ehsan. Nawaf. Cruz. The hickeys covering her body.

“And who is this?” Miranda asked in a snide tone as she looked at Andy. Andy presented Miranda with her resume and introduced herself.
“Andy Sachs ma’am.” Andy said really selling it with that good old midwestern charm.
“No.” Miranda said as she tossed her resume behind her.
“No? I’m more than qualified for the position. How hard can it be to fetch you your coffee and schedule things.” Andy huffed.
“No, as in I have an extremely hard time believing any half sane mother would name their beautiful baby girl Andy.” Miranda said giving Andy déjà vu.
“My birth name is Andrea. But I go by Andy.” Andy explained, and a flicker of something strangely familiar flashed in Miranda’s eyes before she schooled her face into one of disinterest.

Miranda met Andy in a Bar in 1974, Andy decided Miranda had some growing up to do, so she promised she’d find her. 32 years later Andy does just that.

Lily and Doug suggested that she attempt modeling just so she could pay the bills until something solid landed. She had moved to New York with her boyfriend Nate Six months ago, he had given up on her getting a job as a writer month two and dumped her. Doug was kindly letting her stay with him until she got on her feet again.
