Every day is back to being the same. Work, food, sleep, miss the Tardis. Miss the Doctor. Then she meets a gangly young man with a swoop of brown hair and pale eyes who doesn't seem to fit anywhere, who shares a flat with a married couple and has nightmares about statues. And a fob watch that won't stop whispering. (Eleven/Rose Human Nature-inspired AU, canon-divergent.)
